About me

Hello every one !!

I am Parvathy vijayakumar I was born and bought up in Palakkad a small town in the southern state Kerala . My entire childhood was with the most amazing cooks in the world , my mother and my grandmother . I was always around food tasting , devouring, participating in all the festivals and helping out in kitchen .

This love for food made me chose my studies in Hotel management from IHM chennai . I was in chennai for three years and it opened my palate to more kinds of food which was not available at Palakkad. After that during my masters in UK I did get a chance to try a lot of different cuisines around the world . In my student days I was only allowed to do minimal cooking at my residence , So it was my genius mother who gave me all easy ideas to cook . My student job was to work in a French restaurant in the kitchen . It showed me so many things learned practically about lots of things which I learned theoretically at college.

Last but not the least after marriage I moved to Canada . The entire reason behind my blog is the tremendous and ongoing support from my husband who is a Chef as well. I have been learning a lot from him and still learning . I wish to cook a lot of regional dishes from India, some baking and some international dishes .
